Due to circumstances depressingly large number of children study in the open or in a dilapidated buildings. This is the case in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kashmir for example. What we take for granted in the western world is completely lacking in many of our Muslim countries. Due to the relatively low cost of materials and labour, a small donation can provide a school building suitable for teaching in a comfortable environment, with the appropriate number of toilets and kitchen. A school should be the pride of a community, not a scene of a dilapidated building in a war zone. Our diamond children are learning in the dirty mud huts.
